About Journal of Journal of Immersive Simulation and Learning in Digital Healthcare and Education

Originally launched in 2021 as New Horizons of Educational Research (NHER), the journal has been restructured and renamed as the Journal of Immersive Simulation and Learning in Digital Healthcare and Education (JISL) to reflect its renewed academic focus and international direction. JISL is an international, interdisciplinary, open-access journal committed to advancing human-centered simulation and interactive learning.

The journal publishes research on immersive simulation, XR, artificial intelligence, learning analytics, and technology-enhanced learning across healthcare, education, and professional training. Its audience includes researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, instructional designers, technology developers, and policymakers.

All submitted articles should present original, previously unpublished work and may include empirical, theoretical, conceptual, or review studies. Submissions undergo peer review and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
